Kaili University

Kaili University, approved by Ministry of Education, is founded as a full-time school. It is located in Kaili, the capital city of Qian Dongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. Known as the Prefecture of Forest, Prefecture of Song and Dance, Kaili is one of world’s top ten eco-tourist destinations characterized by returning to nature. The university covers an area of 112 hectare, with the construction area being approximately 200,000 square meters. It has invested more than 30 million on teaching equipment and on Gigabit Ethernet network.. Its library has a collection of books up to 610,000 volumes. The university currently has 643 staff, with 514 working full-time. Among them, 53 are professors, 139 are associate professors, 226 teachers with MA. The university consists of 12 faculties and 10 research centers. There are to now 31 degree-level undergraduate programs, 26 three-year tertiary programs and 1pre-university program for national minorities are provided.

Since 1992, the university has been providing its long-term and short-term international programs in Chinese Mandarin/ culture and ethnical language/culture(e.g. Miao, Gejia). At the end of 2011, thousands of international students have studied at University.
